Presentation


The purpose of this Symposium is to provide a forum for discussion of nuclear energy generation and applications development in Latin America, with special emphasis in the field of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle.

OBJETIVES

To discuss:

  • Nuclear power programs in Latin American countries
  • Fuel element technologies
  • Nuclear fuel cycle developments
  • Safeguards in Latin America
  • Materials and processes development for nuclear applications
  • Nuclear manpower qualification and supply

Outline of the general program

The technical program will encompass the following  events:

  • Invited speakers
  • Round Table Meetings
  • Technical paper sessions
  • Poster sessions
  • Annual Meeting of LAS-ANS
  • Technical Visit to Angra NPP

ALL PAPERS WILL BE REVIEWED FOR APPROVAL BY THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE.

DEADLINES

  • APRIL 30, 2010: Authors should forward title and abstract of the papers (maximum 200 words), enclosing the registration form herein attached.
  • MAY 7, 2010: Authors will be informed of the acceptance of their abstracts and will receive instructions for paper submittal.
  • JUNE 11, 2010: Authors should forward, by post or e-mail, the full text of their papers for final publication.
