OBJECTIVES
EXPO NUCLEAR ENERGY TECHNOLOGY is a unique event of a technical and commercial nature set up to show in the Latin American region the progress achieved by nuclear energy technologies. It will be held every two years. Its main purposes are to:
- Create a business environment for vendors and suppliers to expose and promote their products, equipment and services, and to find new business opportunities, and
- Demonstrate the sustainability characteristics of nuclear power production
In its first edition, the event will take place in conjunction with the Annual Symposium of the Latin American Section of the American Nuclear Society - LAS/ANS, from June 16-20, 2008, at Hotel Windsor Barra, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It will consist of a fair to show nuclear technologies developed in the Latin American region and in other American, European and Asian countries, with an emphasis on the production of sustainable energy. It will comprise an exhibition of products, equipment and services designed for Nuclear Power and Non-Power applications.The EXPO NUCLEAR ENERGY TECHNOLOGY RIO 2008 wants to exhibit the progress on the following areas:
- technologies for nuclear power production, with emphasis on new generation of reactors, improvement of methods and procedures to increase productivity and conformity;
- technologies for nuclear applications with emphasis on sectors such as agriculture, medicine, health, geology and industry, focusing on the way these applications will promote the improvement of quality of life
